Managing Director, Quaestor Capital Markets (Arena Financial Services)
Sam is a senior corporate advisor and former investor who has been responsible for more than $2 billion of principal investments in private and public markets across the capital structure during his 20-year career in leveraged finance.
Prior to joining Quaestor, Sam was a managing director at Hum Capital where he advised sponsored and non-sponsored companies on raising debt capital across the consumer, technology, and industrial sectors. Previously, Sam served as a managing director at New York Life’s investment affiliate PA Capital (now part of Apogem Capital), where he co-managed a portfolio of special situations investments, and was a principal at MidOcean Credit Partners where he was responsible for investing across the capital structure in private and public markets.
Earlier in his career, Sam was a research analyst at CreditSights (now owned by Fitch) where he published investment recommendations on stressed and distressed issuers across industries. He began his research career at Prudential Securities.
Sam holds a BA in political science from Yale University.
